This week, Dick and Lexi sat down with Delilah Darkholme to talk about queer and kinky photography, as well as developing unexpected kinks and fetishes. We also discussed darker fantasies, such as CNC, coercion, sleepy sex, and navigating/negotiating those kinks as a survivor of sexual assault.
Delilah’s Introduction to Kink
We start by diving headfirst into Delilah’s Radioactive Spider Bite into Kink. Their story is interesting because rather than feeling like the odd one out, they spent their childhood assuming everyone was interested in kink. They also repressed their interests due to growing up in a Christian household. Once they had the realization that they were kinky, they describe how all of their kinks just “tumbled out.” As far as being a photographer, they got into kinky photography largely through their interest in exhibitionism.
Unexpected Kinks and Fetishes
Dick brings up one of Delilah’s appearances on The Dildorks in which they talk about chastity. Chastity was something they didn’t have any interest in until recently, and when the switch flipped, they found themselves to be suddenly really into it. This seems to be a pattern for many people in the kink community, where people aren’t into something until it’s explained in just the right way that makes the kink or fetish click for them. Some of Delilah’s other kinks and fetishes that seemed to come out of nowhere are needles, blood play, armpits, body odor, and potentially feet.
Dick takes a moment to talk about one of his recently developed kinks that seemed to come from nowhere, which is tickling. He’s been having trouble with the fact that he doesn’t enjoy tickling porn, but he enjoys the act of tickling another person. If a fantasy scenario is attached to it, like tickling as torture or an interrogation method, he’s immediately uninterested. Funnily enough, the exact same thing happened to Delilah with tickling.
Dark and Taboo Fantasies
Lately, Delilah has found themselves getting into darker, more taboo fantasies. This is largely because they have partners that they feel comfortable talking about this type of play with. Something they’ve just recently realized turns them on is sleepy sex, as well as sex while they’re asleep. They believe this kink developed by accident, due to a period of time when they would frequently wake their partner up in the middle of the night to initiate sex while they were fully asleep. Delilah had no memory is this, which began to make their partner concerned. However, they’re always delighted to wake up to sex, so they decided to continue doing it after further negotiation. Additionally, it got to a point where they realized that they’re turned on by fucking people while they’re asleep. Dick brings up that he’s interested in this as well, but in relation to blackmail. He fantasizes about someone taking pictures of him while he’s asleep that the person can use for blackmail and/or humiliation.
Kinky Photography
We also discuss one of Delilah’s jobs as an erotic, kinky, queer photographer. Dick asks if they ever incorporate photography into scenes, which they really enjoy. They’re an exhibitionist, and they love the idea of someone documenting what they do during sex so that others will see it. Even before they began posting porn on the internet, they would often have their partner take videos of them having sex with a phone camera. They actually have not done any sort of roleplay scenarios involving any sort of dynamic with a photographer, but they do love taking pictures of kink just to document and appreciate it.
