Power exchange dynamics are often modeled to us in erotic fiction and we get the erroneous impression that these relationships just “happen” and that they “were meant to be” and “will never change.” Every part of this is wrong. These assumptions diminish much of the adventure, the changes, and the work that go into the making of a powerful dynamic. People grow and change because of their relationships and the dynamic itself needs to shift to accommodate. In a world of ‘burn it to the ground’ if it doesn’t work culture, I’m here to offer other perspectives and paths towards growing and developing a power exchange relationship.
