It’s dangerous to go alone! Take this.
A few months ago, I entered a giveaway from SheVibe to win a limited edition version of a then-new toy, The Realm Drago Lock On Dragon Sword Handle, and a matching Draken dildo in a beautiful red color. To my surprise and delight, I ended up winning this giveaway and in a few days time had this beastly duo in my hands. Cut to a few months later, when I start talking to Blush Novelties (the company behind The Realm series) about reviewing their products for our new blog. They were excited to work together, and when I mentioned to them that, while I already had the handle for The Realm set, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Draken dildo and was curious how the other, more standard, dildo attachments compared, they sent me one of their Realistic 7″ Lock On dildos in return for an honest review. While both attachments are made from the same density of silicone, for me, the feeling is worlds apart.
Testing these toys has been an epic journey, that I can say for sure. Dick didn’t actually know that I had won this giveaway until I was unwrapping a huge box with these elaborate toys inside. He loves Lord of the Rings as much as any nerd, but the whole sword handle with a dildo on the end of it seemed a little nuts. His reaction was something like “Uhh…what the fuck? This is ridiculous.” And I mean, yes, to be fair it is kind of ridiculous to have a dildo attached to an ornate, dragon-decorated sword handle. Ridiculously awesome, that is. Never let it be said that I am anything but Extra AF.

This toy has many uses. Yes, you can fuck someone aggressively with it while shouting ancient battle cries, but it also works pretty well as an impact toy, if you’re more into slashing than thrusting. I mean, you can’t hand a couple of kinksters a dildo sword and not expect someone to get hit with it. The impact is on the thuddy side due to the thick silicone shaft and, frankly, it’s just incredibly entertaining and satisfying to watch someone get beat the fuck up with a dicksword.
Using the Draken dildo as an actual dildo, that is another story. This toy is a relatively standard length and girth, but the texture on it is very, very detailed. It looks super cool and I am pretty sure it was 3D printed. The night I got the set, I tried to use the dildo on myself (sans handle, because I have short arms that make it impossible), and I had not so great a time with it. I had to use lots of lube and still found the thick texture of the toy abrasive to my insides. When Dick and I decided to try it together, I first had him beat me up a little bit to get me in the mood, and then he fucked me with it while I was on the bed and he was standing beside it. Though I was arguably more turned on this time, I still had the same issue; while I did get off both times, it was almost painful getting there. Dragging it feels like a scrape so I really can only take a bit of wiggling in the G-spot area. I believe that if this toy was made of a much softer silicone it would be great, but in it’s current form, it’s just very uncomfortable to me. The one thing I would say that I MIGHT enjoy the Draken dildo for would be some sort of intense kink scene where being beaten down and fucked uncomfortably was part of it. I think that would probably work, but that’s something we just haven’t tried yet.

Once I received the other, more standard dildo, I immediately tried it out, and I much prefer it. I have used this one without the handle many times with very, err, satisfactory results. Dick has also fucked me with it, with much fun to be had by both parties. I recommend it if you or your partner has a hard time with stamina with PIV fuckin’ or any difficulties using their hands. Dick has some physical disabilities, and I think that this toy is going to really enhance our sexual play overall, as he finds this much easier to use than traditional fingering/fucking me with a regular dildo. Handles are convenient; who would have known? It is a really good toy for getting railed with, something that I particularly like. Another cool thing about this toy is that the hole it attaches with is standard Vac-U-Lock style, so you can use it with a strap on that has one of those fittings as well. What this also means is that you can take any dildos you have that have Vac-U-Lock holes and use them with the handle too. You are going to want to use LOTS of water based lube when attaching this to the handle, because if you don’t it’s super difficult to remove again.
This set has been really fun to review and is also just a super novel toy. I brought it to a play party just to show off, and it delighted many a kinkster. I know it left a lasting impression on Dick. Despite his initial hesitation, after he got to try it out he was very amused and was really glad to have something that we could use when his wrists and body are sore. Also, it looks damn good in a selfie. Like I said, Extra AF.
