I’ll be honest, I’ve never considered using a clit clamp until I saw The Devil’s Lotus. The Devil’s Lotus is simple and intuitive to use—it has five sharp “petals” surrounding a knob that clamps them shut as you twist it. Like most of their toys, it’s completely 3-D printed, making the sensation distinct from other clamps that are typically made of metal. It’s also quite compact, with the whole device standing almost two inches tall with the petals closed. When opened, the petals spread out to just over three inches in diameter. I appreciate that the clamp doesn’t take up much space in my toybox, and it’s super easy to throw into a purse or backpack when I’m on the go. To clean it, I just dabbed some rubbing alcohol onto a paper towel and gave it a thorough wipe.

I looked forward to being able to try this toy with my partner because I had a difficult time trying to get it to stay put on my own. Thankfully, my partner was able to tighten it on my clit with ease. According to the product description, the knob’s generous thread meshes with a helical gear at the base of each petal. This design ensures that the mechanism responsible for closing the petals makes contact with the maximum surface area to make a secure connection. This design is definitely effective in my experience—the grip feels firm and secure, and the knob allows you to fine-tune how acutely you want to feel the clamp’s bite.
Sitting around while wearing the Devil’s Lotus didn’t hurt, but it was uncomfortable in a way that really turns me on. When I wasn’t moving I felt a strong, semi-sharp pressure digging into my clit, and my partner could really make it hurt by fucking with it. Your mileage may vary depending on your anatomy, but it never slipped or fell off while I wore it, and I would say my clit is of average size. Additionally, walking and jumping around were uncomfortable, but not too painful at all.
