I have long been a distant admirer of Uberrimme’s line of gorgeous, handmade dildos.  A one-person effort to bring beauty and variety to the world of insertables, Marco of Uberrimme is kicking major sex toy ass.  So when the opportunity to review the Sensi, one of his newer models, presented itself, I jumped at the chance.  I read a few other blogger’s reviews and was very excited to learn that the Sensi was made to fill the gap in the market for vaginal plugs, something that I never knew I needed until I read about it.   And then promptly absolutely knew I needed.

My fancy face for scale.

The Sensi is about 5 inches long in total, with about 4.5 inches of insertable length.  It’s bulbous shape tops out at a maximum diameter of 1.6″, with a smaller base that makes it decidedly NOT safe for anal use.  Seriously, don’t put things in your butt that weren’t meant to go there; it will be an awkward trip to the doctor’s office at best.  The smaller base is made to fit more comfortably between labia, the success of which I can attest to.  The thing that stood out to me when I first received it (aside from the beautiful, shimmery colors) was the SUPER soft and squishy silicone.  I took it out of the package and just squeezed it in my hand for a good while like some perverted stress ball.  For a highly tactile person like me, just the feel of it is super enjoyable.  At least, when it’s in my hands.

Lovely swirl on the bottom, these colors are my favorite!

Using this toy vaginally was a bit different story.  I had high hopes for the Sensi after reading glowing reviews, but when I used it myself, I unfortunately found I couldn’t offer the same.  Of course the squishy silicone feels super lovely inside oneself, and it does feel really nice to squeeze around, but the thing I find difficult with this toy is the length, I think.  As a dildo, it feels quite nice, and the slight pop when it glides in and out is really drool worthy.  But as a plug, I feel full in an uncomfortable way.  I think it’s honestly just the way my body is shaped and not a problem with the toy itself, but no matter what I tried, it was simply uncomfortable as a plug.  I tried inserting the Sensi and going out to record the podcast but had to visit the bathroom soon afterwards to remove it.  It felt like it was poking at my ovaries, which is absolutely not something I am looking for in a toy meant to keep me aroused.  If this toy was maybe an inch shorter, I think I’d have a much better time with it. The ridge is nice and pronounced but just a little too far past my G-spot for it to tease in any sort of satisfying way.

It is very cute.

I have used this to get off at home, and when used along with a vibrator (or my new Womanizer Starlet 2), it’s perfectly enjoyable.  It doesn’t get me off in the way perhaps that a dildo with more thrusting capability would, but it’s nice all the same.  I want to experiment in the future with using the Sensi for kink scenes, maybe wearing it while getting spanked or some other similarly painful-but-arousing scenario.  Alternatively it could be used in a sexual objectification scene, in which I’m teased and forced to service my partner until I beg for release.  Stay tuned for those results!

Overall, I think the Sensi is a really good toy, so long as your anatomy is well-suited to it.  The shape is great, the silicone is squishy, but the length is just too much for me.  Many people have given this toy a glowing review, and at $39 dollars I think it’s a good piece to try if you’ve been looking for a filling vaginal toy that will stay put.  If you are going for longer wear, I would suggest a pair of snug panties or pants, as the vaginal canal is good at pushing things out (that is, after all, its job).  I hope that the reader can try this toy and have a better time with it than I did; until then, I will keep dreaming of the rest of the toys in Uberrime’s stock.  I’m sure there’s one out there that will work perfectly for me!

Thank you SheVibe for sending me this toy in exchange for an honest review.
