The first actually good vibrator I ever got was the Palm Power Rechargable, purchased from a local sex shop. This wand style vibe, made by BMS Factory, was a huge step up from the standard battery powered vibes from days of old and, from the moment I got it, was my favorite for a long time. Part of what made the toy so good was the patented “PowerBullet” technology that BMS has used in many of their products, the same technology that’s in the toy I’m reviewing today, the Pillow Talk Sassy.
The Sassy has become the darling of the sex toy reviewer world of late, and because of its popularity, Betty’s Toy Box wanted to see for themselves if it lived up to the hype. And so did I; after all, BMS had a really dynamite product with the Palm Power Recharge, and the Sassy already had so many good reviews. One more couldn’t hurt.

Description: Hand holding the Pillow Talk Sassy
This toy is made of either pastel blue or pastel pink (depending on the color one gets) silicone, with a soft matte finish. The whole design is rather posh, with silver accents and a control button that is actually a Swarovski crystal. I enjoy the texturing of the handle, which has an almost pillow-like pattern. The insertable length of this toy is 5″, and the widest part is 1.5 inches in diameter. There is a pronounced curve that allows for some serious G-spot targeting and a bulb-like shape on the end, of which I’m quite the fan. This toy has a little bit of flex to it overall but is firm enough for strong pressure.
When it comes to vibration, the Sassy absolutely lives up to the hype. The lowest setting starts out very deep and rumbly, deeper in fact then the lowest setting on the Palm Power. The highest setting is not as strong as the Palm Power but still seriously impressive for a vibrator of this size and price. I would say this is the strongest internal vibrator in my considerable collection. Also, it uses the same type of vibration settings as the Palm Power, meaning you just click and hold and it gradually brings the power up, no fussing around with toggling through patterns. I like this because it feels more intuitive, and it gives you a lot more range to play with.
Other small but cool things about the Sassy are that the charger is labeled, which is a small but insanely convenient thing if you are like me and have heaps upon heaps of charging cords. It also comes with a satin case, as well as a tiny cleaning brush. All these little things are easy and super thoughtful, and I can’t help but wish that more companies would do this!
As far as my use of this toy, I have tried it both internally and externally and enjoy both relatively equally. The vibration on my clit is deep and lovely, absolutely enough power to get me off in tandem with a nice dildo. Using the toy internally is actually a really intense experience, which I didn’t initially expect. I actually find that I can’t thrust very hard with it without feeling like it’s too much. So far I have had success with leaving it inside of me and alternating between squeezing and a bit of wiggling. I usually favor the lower, deep settings over the high ones, and when I use it with a clit toy like the Melt it sends me over the edge easily and quickly.

To sum up my thoughts, here’s my pro/con list:
Pros:
- Strong vibration
- Cutesy design, if you’re into that
- Pronounced curve perfect for G or P spot stimulation
- Comes with a little brush for cleaning!
- Excellent price at $52!
Cons:
- Splash proof but not waterproof
- Only colors are (in my opinion “meh”) pastel blue and pastel pink
All in all, I think the Pillow Talk Sassy is a superb vibrator. I don’t find myself using internal vibrators much these days, but I know that when I am craving one in the future, this is what I’m reaching for. I am very impressed by the motor on this thing and the truly exceptional price you can get it at. If you are someone who loves a lot of G-spot stimulation with strong vibration for under $60, I would not hesitate to pick one up.
