The 3Some Rock N Grind vibrator tricked me.  When I chose to review it, I was intrigued.  An internal and external vibrator with ridges to grind on?  I like all those things.  All of those things in a large pink toy by Pipedream?  I was more than willing to try.  This was the most appealing toy out of the 3Some line, as the others honestly looked…pretty uncomfortable.  But a ribbed G-spot and clit grinding combo, now that I could go for.  But alas, dear reader, I was unpleasantly surprised.

Immediately upon opening the box, the Rock N Grind seemed slightly threatening; the dimensions just seemed way too big.  For example, the length of the insertable part of this vibe is about 5″, and while that doesn’t seem too long for a standard dildo, this toy is meant to fit entirely inside of you so that your clit can rest against a raised bump and grind on it.  If that length can’t fit, then the rest is useless.  Also, one must take into account that the average vagina is anywhere from 2–5″ before arousal.  The location of the G-spot is also around 1-3″ in, which means that this toy is going to pass it.  I, for one, like large and long dildos, but this seemed like a bit much for a toy I was supposed to grind on.  It would also be a different story if this toy was much softer.  There is a bit of flex in the middle of the shaft, but the rest of it is pretty stiff, which makes finagling it about more than a little difficult.

I turned it on to test the vibration, and it is actually really strong.  The Rock N Ride has two vibes, one in the tip of the dildo and one on the grinding bump.  These have three speeds and seven different patterns.  The different settings oscillate the vibes in a pleasing way, or at least seem like they’d be pleasing, inasmuch as I can tell while holding it in my hand.  When it’s in my body, well, that’s another story.

I have just not been able to make this toy work for me.  Even while super aroused, the shaft of the vibrator is just too long and jabs uncomfortably at my cervix.  I am not able to get it in deep enough comfortably so that I can also grind on it.  The neck is a bit flexible, and I have spent some time trying to see if I could just bend it the right way, but if so I honestly haven’t found it yet.  This toy is just not made for my body.

The 3Some Rock And Grind with Remote

Even more unfortunate is that this toy actually comes with a few neat features.  A small, one-button remote that you can use to toggle vibration isn’t huge but can definitely be a plus for some.  Even nicer is the strap on the underside which makes it more ergonomic and also easier to use for folks who struggle with wrist or grip issues.  I really, REALLY wanted to give this toy a good review and it sucks that I can’t!

Pros:

  • Strap underneath for ease of holding and use
  • Remote control
  • Deep vibrations
  • Silky soft silicone
  • Waterproof

Cons:

  • It’s huge!  Depending on your anatomy, you are likely not going to be able to fit the whole length inside and then grind on it comfortably.  This thing feels just proportionally so wrong.

I don’t know if I would personally recommend the Rock N Grind.  Perhaps you’d like it if you know your vaginal canal is on the longer side and things like this are your jam.  I feel this toy really fits into the category of too expensive to be worth the risk, though.  It’s very unfortunate because conceptually I love this toy, and honestly if the whole thing was scaled down 30%, I would probably enjoy it a lot.  Here’s hoping there are more accessibly-sized grinding toys in the future!

Thank you Betty’s Toybox for sending me this toy in exchange for an honest review!
