Silc Arts is a company that has been on my radar for a while. I am a huge geek for handmade dildos, and Silc Arts has a selection of beautiful, ornate toys that could double as mantlepiece sculptures. On top of that, they offer a revolutionary handle accessory that you can attach your toys to make masturbation easier. I had been drooling over these toys for years when as luck would have it, we found out that a listener happened to be related to the owner!
The owner and operator of Silc Arts is a lovely guy named Matt, who custom poured the toys that were sent to me. He comes from a lineage of professional artists and has been a tattoo artist for fifteen years, which is apparent from looking at his shop. Many of the designs are informed by Neo-Traditional tattoo design, like the Sparrow and the Eagle. Other pieces are just straight up ornate as hell, like this Renaissance scroll you can fuck. Matt also packages and ships his toys beautifully—we received ours in a box wrapped in black tissue paper and a wax stamp on the outside! Every detail is intentional and beautiful, and as both a pervert and an artist, I deeply appreciate that.

Silc Arts Large Eagle dildo in pink/purple gradient
I chose the large Eagle dildo, the small Vac-U-Lock Silc Touch handle, and the handle attachments. I chose medium firmness for the dildo, the equivalent of shore 00-50 (if you don’t know about shore hardness, it’s the chart that ranks how firm rubber is and you can find it here). Usually, I prefer a softer silicone for larger toys, which makes them easier to insert and good for squeezing. The large Eagle is about two inches at its widest diameter, so I think medium firmness was a solid choice. The Eagle is also a pretty pink-to-purple gradient that matches the handle. I love to keep this toy on display, and it looks amazing on my shelf of artisan dildos.
I decided to go with the smaller of the two handles, thinking it would suit my body better. The handle is rigid and made of resin—it’s shaped like a hook with a flared, feather-shaped handle on one end, and a Vac-U-Lock attachment point at the other. I also received two soft loop handle attachments that assist with grip. These were a slight pain to get on and off, but once they were on they were very stable.

Silc Arts Silc Touch Handle with attachments
Trying out the whole set took me a while to figure out. Attaching the toy to the handle was easy enough, but finding the right angle to use it proved to be more difficult. I laid on my back attempting to use it, but I found it difficult to keep a good rhythm. The shape and size of the dildo combined with the softer silicone made penetration with the handle more of a struggle because it didn’t have enough leverage. I enjoyed the Eagle dildo on it’s own, and found the gradually tapered shape and light texture very satisfying. In the end I switched to a shorter dildo that made it easier, but ultimately my hands got tired and I got off with the dildo stationary (which is how I use toys most often anyway).
Despite my original struggle I wanted to give the handle a fair shot, so I kept on trying it. A revelation came one day when I was testing some other toys with a friend—I could use this to fuck myself from behind! I love doggy style penetration, something that I struggle with achieving on my own as my arms don’t bend well in that direction. With the handle I was able to reach behind and penetrate myself with ease, and now I’m super excited about this whole new world of possibilities! My arm did tire eventually and I got off stationary as I did before, but honestly, I’m a pretty lazy masturbator. No fault of the toy, I just don’t do a lot of thrusting by hand so I’m not used to it.

Silc Arts Silc Touch Handle
The grip end of the Silc Touch handle was surprisingly easy to use. I wasn’t sure what to expect because the handle design was quite unique, but even without the silicone grips it was comfortable to hold. The additional squishy handles were a great addition and I love how versatile this toy can be for a variety of needs. My only desire would be for the loops to be slightly smaller so they support my hands better, but everyone’s hands are different. Concerning the handle itself, I realized I would have had better leverage if the angle of the handle was opened up a bit more—maybe more of a “V” instead of a “U” shape.
Pros:
-The handle is stiff but also has a little give, which good for penetration
-The silicone grips are adjustable which make them more comfortable to hold
-The handle is Vac-U-Lock compatible, so you can use it use with other toys (they also make a suction cup compatible version)
– The dildo is lightly textured and is a nice graduated size, which is good for stretching
Cons:
-I would like the handle to have a more open angle to get the leverage I need
Although I didn’t use the handle to thrust most of the time, I still found it helpful to grip or position the dildo without having to reach my bits to do so. I think the Silc Touch handle is a great product and could help a lot of folks who struggle with self penetration for one reason or another. The silicone grips were a great addition as well. I very much enjoyed the Eagle dildo on it’s own as both a very pleasurable toy and a gorgeous art object. Overall, I’d recommend anyone with the budget to do so to check out Silc Arts. Not only are they beautiful and fun toys, but the owner is also a lovely guy who is great to work with. I’m glad to have tried them, and from now on these toys won’t be far out of my reach.
