I received the Vixen Holster along with the Pipedream Fantasy X-tensions cock extender a few months ago from Betty’s Toybox, the main reason being I wanted to try it on my new Teddy Thruster that I had just written about. I read from a few very reputable bloggers that when you combined the Teddy with one of the Vixen silicone penis extenders it became a new kind of dual density fuck machine, the likes of which sex toy reviewers have never seen. And though I really did enjoy the Teddy, I find that my most effective wank sessions happen when I am using toys that are much girthier.

The holster is 100% soft stretchy silicone, though it had a bit more give to it then I was expecting. It’s about 5 and 7/8″ of length with a girth of 2 and 1/8th inches, subject to change of course by the size of the member you’re inserting. The interior dimensions are 4 and 1/2″ by 1 and 3/8″. As soon as I got this toy I put it on the Teddy to try it out and I have to say, it was really awesome. I love the added girth and the amount of squish that the Vixen silicone gives. I have even put this on other smaller dildos that I have on my collection and it instantly turns them into a delightful dual-density experience. I think this is a really cool piece, and that’s not even considering the partnered uses for it.

Just like my last sleeve review, I enlisted the help of my play partner Living Curious. Funny enough, when I told him what toy I needed to test he said that he already owned the two other extenders that Vixen sells (the Colossus and the Ride On) which he said were either too big or too small. I was hoping that the Holster would be the baby bear in this situation, as in it fits just right, so we put it to the test. 

Before I give you his impressions, I just want to say that the Holster feels GOOD. It was a little awkward putting on and getting set up to fuck with this thing, but once I had it inside me I was totally sold. It felt like a dual density dildo but also one that was more lifelike and had a better give than any others I have felt. It was like somewhere in-between a dildo and a real dick, which was really enjoyable. I could feel all the texture more pronounced than I would a standard penis and the girth filled me up in a super satisfying way. As a penis receiver, I would give this many thumbs up. As for the penis-haver, his words on it here:

I really liked the material. It was finicky to put on and didn’t seem incredibly secure, but maybe that’s because I have small balls. 

Using lube to put it on seems to be the only option, even though it is incredibly stretchy. I can’t imagine it being comfortable to wear without the inside being lubed. It’s important to note that this piece requires the user to have an erection and can’t be used flaccid. At least I don’t see how it could be.

Stroking with my hand was very pleasurable, almost like a masturbation sleeve. Using it on a partner proved to be much different and there wasn’t enough resistance to cause much stimulation for me. There was just enough stimulation to maintain an erection but I don’t think it was enough for me to reach climax, personally. Also, the piece has a cock ring like effect, making an erection easier to maintain. 

Later that evening I noted that the skin on my scrotum was chaffed and sore, but that cleared up by the next morning.

I have a prince albert piercing and after about 10 minutes wearing the piece I began to feel substantial pinching around the piercing. I didn’t stop use until having it on for a little over 15 minutes and after taking it off it looked like I had a bruise on the head of my penis from the piercing being dug in, but that actually went away after a few minutes. So, if the user has a piercing, be aware of the possibility of pinching.

Living Curious and I both agree that the Holster is a good product. I think it’s great for someone who has a hard time maintaining erections or maybe their partner just wants more girth every once in a while. Or even if you’re someone who wants to make your existing dildos a bit larger and squishier, I would say this is your best option. Although not the cheapest, I think it’s probably one of the best on the market and a worthwhile investment.
