Back when Dick and I first began dating, he took me to buy a vibrator because I didn’t have any good ones at the time (best date ever, right?). We ended up buying the PalmPower Recharge, a small wand-style vibrator that quickly became my go-to. Over a year later, I saw that BMS Factory (the manufacturer of PalmPower) made a new model called the PalmPower Extreme, and a burning fire of need grew inside me. The Recharge was my favorite vibrator, and I could only assume that the Extreme would take that place. Because, really, what doesn’t get better if you add “extreme” to the title? Thanks to the good folks at SheVibe, I was able to test out this newer, more extreme PlamPower and bring you my results today.
The PalmPower Extreme is more than twice the size of the original Recharge. End-to-end measurement is about 10″, so it’s still about two inches smaller than a Magic Wand Rechargeable, but this is no small vibe. The head is about two inches wide and covered in a soft silicone, and though the neck is flexible the head itself is pretty hard. The most standout design feature on this toy is the angled handle; the Extreme in general is a very ergonomic wand, from the shape, the button placement, and even the texture on the back of the handle. I only wish that this toy was more waterproof like its predecessor. It’s easy enough to clean the head with a wet towel, but you absolutely do not want to submerge it!

One of the things I really love about BMS Factory toys is their press-and-hold button control, a function that is included on this model. On top of having seven standard click-through pre-settings (four steady and three pattern speeds), you can just hold the speed button and let it ramp up to your preferred power level. I like this because it’s a finer level of control than most other vibrators give you. It also starts you out on a lower setting than the first preset is, which is nice if you don’t like to start out super strong.
In terms of power, the PalmPower Extreme is much stronger than the Recharge. I think it comes very close to the Magic Wand Rechargeable, though I believe the Magic Wand is just slightly more rumbly on its highest setting. That’s still a big deal, especially because of the size difference and because of how much easier it is to use. I like using this wand a lot, and it has definitely taken the place of the PalmPower Recharge next to my bed. The shape lends itself so well to using alone and also with a partner. It’s also the perfect shape for a back massage, something that is much needed since I started working from a desk recently.

How do you think this wand compares to other wands that you’ve tried? I think if you’re into wands in general, this would be a very valuable addition to your collection. Where it may not reach the same depth of vibration as the classic Magic Wand, it definitely comes close, and the design itself surprisingly made it much easier to handle then other wands.
How do you feel about the design and handling? I love the shape of this wand. The curve makes it so much easier to stimulate spots that are sort of uncomfortable to reach with normal wands. I hadn’t really considered the discomfort of my wrist and hand when using straight wands until the slight curve of this one showed me that you could deliver the same sensations without any discomfort.
Would you recommend this toy? Absolutely. I am a big fan of wands in general; as a person who fetishizes socks and often uses them to masturbate in, I find wands to be the best toys to use in those scenarios. And as I said, discovering the comfort of this one makes it absolutely worth it.

I was very happy that this wand lived up to my expectations, which is something you don’t often get with sex toys. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good wand, especially if they want something more accessible or otherwise easy to hold. The controls just make so much sense and the shape fits with the body much better than a standard wand. If you’ve never tried a wand before, this might just be your new favorite.
