When I first started buying sex toys, I usually gravitated towards vibrating dildos. I’ve gone through a few (okay, more than a few) iterations over the years: glow-in-the-dark, silicone, battery-powered, etc. They seemed to me to be the most reliable of toys, the type I could count on to really get me off. But as the years have passed since my first toy, I now find it more effective to jerk off with a standard non-vibrating dildo and some sort of vibe or suction on my clit; I hardly ever use a vibrating insertable these days, aside from the occasional rabbit-style vibe when I’m lazy. But something about the Impressions N5 from Blush struck me at first sight. Its sleek and modern design, larger-than-average body, and beautiful crimson color seemed to call to me from afar. “Put me inside you!” it said. Aaaanddd, Blush sent me one so I could do just that. It’s great when life works out that way.
The basics for the Impressions N5: It’s 8.25” long with 5.5 of those inches being insertable. The widest point is at the head, where it’s about 2”, while the rest of it is around 1.6”. The N5 is totally waterproof and rechargeable by magnet. There are five steady speeds and five patterns, a solid amount of variety without being too much (or too inconvenient to switch between). The silicone is velvety but has a little bit of drag to it; between this bit of friction and the overall size of the thing, a lot of lube is definitely warranted. This toy is on the firm side and doesn’t have much give to it due to all the internal components. While I initially thought I wouldn’t care for this firmness, given my current infatuation with squishy dildos, the firm body makes the coronal ridge really stand out, and when I insert it I definitely notice that pop feeling past my pubic bone. I don’t need to pound aggressively with this one; the sensation is very prominent by its nature.
Despite my initial worries about the toy being too firm, I actually really enjoy it. The vibration is stronger than any other internal vibe I have personally experienced and delivers some really deep and rumbly sensations, both internally and externally. I have gotten off on just the second and third steady speeds, using it paired with a clit-sucking toy. I find that the first three speeds are more rumbly than the last two, which start to get buzzy, though it still keeps a fair amount of bass.

The biggest surprise with this was that it had TWO patterns that I actually liked! This is a rare find, as I find most patterns in vibrators to be pretty useless in getting off and barely even useful for a tease. And yet this has two that I totally love and have gotten off with successfully several times. They’re both a consistent BZZ-BZZ-BZZ-BZZ pattern, with the second one being quicker than the first. Something about this pattern seems to simulate stroking for me, so if I just leave the vibe inside me and put the Womanizer Liberty on my clit, I can get off with absolutely no effort. I almost like this better then the Velvet Thruster Teddy when it comes to hands free fucking, as it’s much easier to hold an maneuver.
I haven’t really used the suction cup for anything yet, but I can say that it is SUPER strong. I like that the dildo is stiff enough to be used with a harness as well. The suction cup paired with the balls (well, one ball actually) makes this toy really easy to grip and hold too. All of this adds up to a design that is just really easy to use. The only real gripe I can offer is that it takes a few extra seconds to clean the large urethra hole on top. I strongly recommend this toy to anyone looking for a vibrator with good G-/P-spot capabilities and a bit of girth to it. I would wager a guess that the N5 is stronger than any of its competitors in the same price range, and on top of this includes an excellent suction cup. If the size of this one seems too daunting, there are four other vibrators in the Impressions line that may prove more to your liking.
